Broken-Hearted Woman Gets Over Breakup by Living at KFC for One Week

When you’ve had your heart broken, no one can quite console you like that god of romance… Colonel Sanders?

A Chinese woman named Tan Shen, 26, recently spent one whole week in a KFC drowning her sorrows in chicken after her boyfriend broke up with her.

Tan even went so far as to call out sick from work. It also helped the eatery is open 24 hours a day. She explained how the restaurant offered her solace, in addition to plenty of poultry:

I was walking around feeling miserable and decided to stop off at the KFC at the train station. I hadn’t planned on staying there long, I just wanted some chicken wings. But once I got in there and started eating I decided I needed time to think. I didn’t want to go back to my apartment because it was full of memories of him. So I stayed.'”

No one at the KFC asked her to leave because she wasn’t doing anything wrong and she was a good customer, consistently ordering food.

Eventually, the media got wind of Tan’s extended stay. That, coupled with the fact she had  gotten sick of all that chicken, convinced her it was time to move on and go visit her parents.

Hopefully, she can move on with her love life, too.
