Will Ferrell Wears a Rainbow Wig In ‘Saturday Night Live’ Promos

Will Ferrell Jason Sudeikis
NBC

A very familiar face will be hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ this week. Will Ferrell, who was a ‘SNL’ cast-member between 1995 and 2002 and has hosted twice after that, will be doing the duties again. The musical guest is Usher.

Ferrell shot the show’s traditional midweek promos with Jason Sudeikis. So how did the old hand do?

Sudeikis and Ferrell never overlapped on SNL. (Sudeikis was hired as a writer in 2003.) But the two are starring together in the upcoming movie ‘The Campaign,’ and in the ‘SNL’ promos they certainly seem like a couple guys who are in tune with each other’s comedic rhythms.

While Ferrell has had an extremely succesful movie career since leaving ‘SNL,’ he remains a sketch comic at heart, so expect a funny show this week. Are there any classic Will Ferrell ‘SNL’ characters you hope he revisits? A couple of our favorites are below.
