Taylor Swift debuted a new song and accompanying video this week from 'The Hunger Games' soundtrack called 'Safe and Sound.' The tune, which Swift describes as a "death lullaby," is a stark emotional departure for the 22-year-old singer.

Swift co-wrote the song with the Nashville-based duo The Civil Wars, and it's about as somber as you can get. In the video, Swift meanders through a depressing-looking forest while Joy Williams and John Paul White of Civil Wars sing and play guitar in a fire-lit cabin.

To further add to the mournful tone, director Philip Andelman even shot part of the video near a gravesite. What do you think? Does this song effectively capture the dark tone of 'The Hunger Games'? And does it get you excited for the movie?
