Two-Year-Old Girl With Cancer Receives Boatload of Pizzas in Most Awesome Gift Ever

Nothing puts a smile on a kid's face like pizza, which makes what the citizens of the internet did for one sick girl all the more amazing.

Hazel Hammersley is a two-year-old battling cancer who's been overwhelmed by people sending her pizzas after her family posted a photo on her hospital window asking for pizza as a joke.

The photo wound up on Reddit where it struck a nerve. Pretty soon, pizzas started arriving, says Hazel's mom. "[Everything] went bananas! Hazel woke up from her nap to the smell of pizza and was so excited to chow down! Several other children and nurses came into the room, with music playing, and had themselves a wonderful pizza party."

Eventually, Hazel's parents and the hospital had to request people stop sending pizzas, instead encouraging them to donate money to help pay for Hazel's treatment. You can also learn more about Hazel's fight by checking out her Facebook page.
