Dapper Teen Dresses in Suit to Meet New Niece Because ‘First Impressions Matter’
Clothes make the man, indeed.
An 18-year-old from Pickerington, Ohio has become the first true viral sensation of 2017 after he wore a suit to the hospital to meet his sister’s baby after she gave birth.

The uncle, Grant Kessler, stands by the whole “first impressions” idea. “While everyone was dressed casually, I was wearing a suit,” he told USA Today. “I do think that first impressions matter a lot and I wanted [his niece] Carter to look back on that day with photos and see the attention she was getting.”

Kessler’s mom told BuzzFeed Grant is thrilled with the addition to the family, noting he is “extraordinarily excited, proud and protective regarding the birth of his first niece. His dressing up was both a show of respect and a way to honour her arrival.”
In an era when kids wear jeans four sizes too big and hats sideways, the twittersphere certainly appreciated Grant’s effort to get gussied up.
