High School Sweethearts Reunite and Marry After 58 Years

When you're truly in love, there are something worth waiting for. Naomi and Jack Carter are living proof of that: they were once high school sweethearts torn apart by life's circumstances, and after reuniting online, are now living happily ever after.

Naomi was the first to reach out, writing Jack a letter after they reconnected. Eventually, they started speaking on the phone too and a few months later, Jack sent her a package with a wedding ring inside. Naomi accepted and they were married within a few months.

They would've been married sooner, if it wasn't for a series of unfortunate events that blocked their path.

Rocco Andreozzi and and his girlfriend Kim Wasko, both of Portland, ME, beat out 46 other couples to win the North American Wife Carrying Championship for their second straight year.

With Wasko hanging upside down from Andreozzi's shoulders, the pair completed the obstacle course in 49.64 seconds, shaving an impressive 12.27 seconds off their score from the year before.

The folks at the blog Letters of Note have gotten hold of a charming, and grammatically flawed, love letter written by an 18-year old Michael Jordan to a young lady named Laquette.

In the handwritten (in cursive!) note, penned as Jordan sat in high school chemistry class, the future NBA legend apologizes for a misstep and concedes, "I made you look pretty rotten after the last night." His Airness also addresses a romantic issue that many basketball players deal with when he admits he is "finally getting use to going with a girl much smaller than I."
