'Star Trek' alum and overall delight George Takei has been waging a campaign to bring his musical 'Allegiance,' which is about the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II, to Broadway. As it stands, the show will open September 16th at the Old Globe theater in San Diego. Thanks to the almost $160,000 Takei has raised from investors, the dream of eventually taking the show to the Big Apple is very much alive.
