On Thursday night's 'The Tonight Show,' a surprisingly sane, good-humored and contrite Charlie Sheen opened up to host Jay Leno about his very public meltdown earlier this year, saying his now-infamous rants were "a runaway train that I was the reluctant conductor of — and it just kept going."

In a couple of new promotional spots for his September 19 Comedy Central Roast, Charlie Sheen is cast as the conductor of the Roast Express, a crazy train loaded with silicon-injected goddesses and visualizations of some of Sheen's notorious catch phrases ("winning," anyone?).
The train makes stops in Goddess Harbor and Tiger Valley, but when one babe asks if Normalville is on the route, Sheen quips that "we left there a long time ago."
According to roast veteran Jeffrey Ross, the tough love doled out in the upcoming Comedy Central roast of Charlie Sheen should be viewed as a therapeutic step in the actor's public rehabilitation.
In a new Reuters/Ipsos survey, octogenarian and veteran 'Golden Girls' star Betty White was voted the most popular and trusted celebrity, with 86 percent of the 2,200 US adults polled giving her a favorable rating. Denzel Washington and Sandra Bullock were not far behind, coming in second and third with 85 percent and 84 percent, respectively.
After eight years of womanizing, boozing and children's jingle writing, Charlie Sheen's 'Two and a Half Men' character Charlie Harper has finally met his maker. These photos from the upcoming season premiere, scheduled to air on CBS on September 19 -- give a sneak peek at the funeral scene. Notice his signature bowling shirt and shorts hanging center frame.
