To help market the new Picanto, the smallest car in its fleet, auto manufacturer Kia put together a stop-motion animation film -- on fingernails.
The project took 1,200 bottles of nail polish and 900 artificial nails. Artists spent two hours painting each one, working around the clock for 25 days straight to create the world’s first nail art animation.
In a process that took nine hours, Dutch artists Lenert Engelberts and Sander Plug put a year's worth of makeup on a model's face at once. The mess included seven bottles of foundation, three lipsticks, and two bottles each of eye shadow and cream blush, bringing the grand total to 7.7 fl. oz of drippy "perfection."
"Indoor tanning is out," says the Canadian Dermatology Association, who've placed tanning beds squarely in their crosshairs with a new web PSA that shows young women singing their skin with a clothes iron, toaster and waffle iron. Ouch. The CDA hopes these exaggerated examples of frying one's skin hammers home the dangers of tanning. According to their website:
