A man wearing a pair of ear buds and a smile hung onto the exterior of a New York city subway car as it traveled between two stations.

His stunt amused the other passengers on the J train (who can be heard speculating on what drugs the daredevil may be on), but not so much transportation official. "The act shown in this video is both stupid and dangerous." MTA spokesman Charles Seaton said after the video hit the web earlier this week. "We have referred it to the Transit Bureau of the NYPD for investigation."

This wasn't an isolated incident: Subway surfing (also called "skylarking") is a trend that has ended badly before and the MTA has a long-running campaign to discourage the stunt.
