Starling Murmuration Is a Hypnotic Sign of Winter [VIDEO]

Starling Murmuration

A flock of starlings is called a murmuration, and that’s what you see in this astounding clip.

More specifically, these filmmakers were lucky enough to have their camera ready as thousands of the birds dipped and swooped and collectively danced in majestic, hypnotic patterns.

This phenomenon tends to occur at dusk, when the starlings are searching for a place to roost. Even in a small internet video, it’s one of the most magnificent and awesome—in the true sense of the word—spectacles we’ve ever seen.

Is there anything more beautiful than nature? Watch below.
