A woman's work is never done. Maybe that's because she has to earn more to pay for everyday items.

The Daily Share looked into a somewhat ignored trend in which merchandise and services for women tend to cost more than similar products for men.

It's an alarming type of discrimination. For instance, a man's razor cost $8.56, while a woman's goes for $9.97. And there are plenty of more examples, too, ranging from perfume to dry cleaning to long-term insurance.

California is the lone state in the country that has outlawed gender pricing discrimination, so this is an issue that affects more people than you may think.
