Wingsuited Skydivers Race to The Earth’s Surface

Most people do not see the appeal in dressing like a Day-Glo flying squirrel and jumping out of an airplane a few miles above the Earth. But after this video, they might.

This video was put together by Devin Graham, aka DevinSuperTramp. He used small head-mounted video cameras worn by professional skydivers in order to film all the action.

Despite the professionals involved, this was still incredibly risky. The jump was extremely high and the skydivers got up to 140 miles per hour in their wing suits. They also needed to open their parachutes and land in an extremely small area with pinpoint precision. Even one thing going wrong could have gotten one or more participants seriously hurt.

Fortunately, everything went according to plan, and we got some beautiful images of some daring athletes.
