To celebrate its 500th episode, 'The Simpsons' is hoping one of its biggest fans will set another record -- and one that Homer Simpson, TV's most notorious couch potato, would really appreciate.

Starting on February 8th, Simpson fanatics are being challenged to continuously watch all 500 episodes of TV's longest-running primetime, scripted show.

This viewing marathon will take place at Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles, and will end on February 19th, when the 500th episode airs at its regular time.

If any heavily caffeinated soul is able to complete this improbable feet, they will have shattered the current Guinness World Record for continuous TV watching of 86 hours, 6 minutes and 41 seconds, and will collect $10,500 in sweet, sweet cash plus assorted merchandise.

Strong-willed 'Simpsons'-lovers who want to compete in the event are being told to like 'The Simpsons' on Facebook, which will allow them to get more details on the contest. Do you have what it takes to be the ultimate 'Simpsons' fan? Do you have enough pretzels and beer stocked up? Mmmm...pretzels.
