Shaun White Has the Best Live TV Save Ever

Although this clip of Shaun White on CNN is more than six years old, it's gotten new life on Reddit recently. And it's a good thing too, because it reminds us why we've loved the snowboarder ever since his awesome gold medal run in the 2006 Winter Olympics.

As the then 19-year-old White discusses the public's reaction to his half-pipe gold medal win, he says that a group of stewardesses rewarded him with unlimited drinks and snacks during a flight.

The CNN anchor, however, reminds White that he isn't old enough to drink. But White doesn't miss a beat and responds, "I'm talking about Mountain Dews, baby!"

Nice! Not only does White gloss over the implication of underage drinking, he also works in a plug for Mountain Dew, who he had an endorsement deal with at the time. Smooth, Shaun. Very smooth.
