Roller coasters are a lot of fun but like anything else, they have health risks. You can injure your head, neck, or back, and even cause ear damage. You can also apparently hit in the face by a bird.

A boy in Jackson, NJ, got a face full of feathers when riding the Kingda Ka roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure. Fortunately he was pulling into the station for the coaster at the time and didn't have to spend his entire trip through the coaster trying to pick feathers out of his nose.

This is generally a rare event, but some speculate it may become more common as birds get more and more used to roller coasters and other human technology high up. But at least he was only mildly injured: if things had gone really wrong he might have been a bird brain.
