Cats are the coolest of all house pets. But, it turns out, they aren't always born this way. Cats actually learn their legendary nonchalance through socialization with other cats. More specifically, if one cat notices another is going to do something dog-like -- such as acknowledge their owner in an emotional way -- they jump in and hold their feline friend back.

You've probably never noticed this because cats use their substantial quickness to make sure any restraining doesn't last for more than a blink of an eye. But recently an illusive image of a cat holding another cat back was captured. It didn't take long for the rare photo to hit the Internet. And now it's gone viral as the basis of an image macro series meme.
