Regis Philbin Botches Celebrity Names in Side-Splitting Montage [VIDEO]

Regis Botches Celebrity Names
ABC

‘Live With Regis and Kelly’ continues to celebrate Regis Philbin’s trademark doddering old man moments in honor of his impending departure on Nov. 18. The latest installment is a side-splitting montage of the many times he’s botched celebrity names over the past 28 years.

Philbin calls Jennifer Lopez “B-Lo,” refers to the Black Eyed Peas as the “Green Eyed Peas,” confuses rocker Tom Petty with racecar driver Richard Petty and even calls Kelly Ripa by the name “Kathie Lee.” Well, that one’s understandable.

The funniest part isn’t Philbin’s continued butchering of celebrity names, it’s more the fact that he doesn’t even try or really seem to care. It won’t be the same without you, Reeg. Watch his many celebrity name flubs below.
