Real Life ‘Avengers’ Helicarrier Soars Over Russia

Fans of the hit movie 'The Avengers' will be swooning over this Russian-made miniature S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier! This replica of one of cinema's most awesome aircraft carriers is no shoddy children's toy though. Like its movie counterpart, it can float comfortably on the water without sinking, and  yet fly through the air with the greatest of ease.

The video shows that the creator built the replica to gain a fairly impressive height, for a miniature "toy" -- during one part after the helicarrier is gliding on the lake, it suddenly kicks to life and begins to gain altitude. The flight movements itself are also highly graceful; as you watch the video you can tell that the movements aren't jerky at all and it makes smooth transitions from turning in a circle to making a swift landing back upon the waters of the lake. For a remote-controlled replica to soar effortlessly over the highly dense bushes and trees surrounding is a feat worthy of admiration.

If the creator could ever find a way to mass-produce this model for the US market, it would be a total hit since every 'Avengers' fan would be clamoring to buy one.
