Can you imagine what a nightmare it would be to take out a library book in the US only to find out you have to return it in Canada. Well that nightmare is one patrons of The Haskell Free Library and Opera House have to deal with on a daily basis, and if you listen to them tell it, it's not all that hellish.

Located on the border between Derby Line, Vermont and Stanstead, Quebec, Haskell has a collection of over 20,000 books in English and French, which any one of the seven library staff (four Americans and three Canadians) will be happy check out for you, so long as you have a card.
