He may be paralyzed, but Dan Black's heart is certainly working just fine.

The 25-year-old wheelchair-bound British man has taken $30,000 that he raised to help himself and given it to a five-year-old boy in a wheelchair so he can undergo a procedure that will enable him to walk.

Black suffered injuries to his vertebrae in a 2009 accident and wanted to use the money towards stem cell treatment in China that would take a few years to even begin.

However, he decided to change his plans when he learned about Brecon Vaughn, a five-year-old boy who can't walk due to a rare form of cerebral palsy.

Brecon will be able to walk if he undergoes a $100,000 surgery, so Black happily gave him the money:

Brecon can definitely walk, if he has the surgery. I wouldn't wish being paralyzed on anyone, so if I can help someone walk, I will."

Black's mother is onboard with her son's decision, saying, "That little boy needs to be out playing football with his friends in the sunshine, not at home asking his mummy why he can't. I'm so proud of Daniel."

Black isn't the only one helping Brecon – a site has also been set up to raise funds for the surgery.
