Pakistan Bans ‘Athlete’s Foot,’ ‘Glazed Donut’ and Other ‘Obscene’ Terms From Texting
The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority has recently banned 1,700 “obscene” words and phrases from texts. The move is reportedly part of an effort to curb offensive spam.
But while the list of banned terms includes some that are recognizably offensive, there are others that don’t make much sense, like “athlete’s foot” and “glazed donut.” Ever had the desire to text the phrase “monkey crotch?” If you live in Pakistan, you just can forget it.
