Watch Indiana Pacers Mascot Boomer Perform a ‘Smashing’ Dunk [VIDEO]

Boomer, the Indiana Pacers' mascot known for his trampoline-aided dunks, was sent to entertain at a high school in New Palestine, Indiana on Friday, with the Pacers away on a road trip. Bad idea, as the gym backboard on which he performed his signature move proved too weak to handle his brand of thunder from above.

As Boomer Tweeted after his accident, "Oooops." Which is more than we can say for the Utah Jazz's mascot Bear, who remained silent after recklessly dumping a cake on the head of Jazz fans a couple weeks ago. Get it together, mascots of the world.
