Orchestra Rocks Out During Surprise Concert on Delayed Flight

Subscribe to TheFW on

It’s the most famous impromptu concert spurred on by a transportation mishap since the Titanic band played as the ship went down.

While recently stranded on a plane in Beijing during a tour in China, four members of the Philadelphia Orchestra decided to alleviate their boredom (and perhaps their frustration) by treating fellow passengers to a show. Hmm, do we sense a trend on delayed flights?

It sure beats staring out the window and begging for a second bag of peanuts to stave off hunger.

Yes, it was a tight squeeze, but how many concerts have you been to where you can get this close to the performers?
