Check out this remarkable footage that proves police officers are indeed here to serve and to protect.

Sergeant Joe Hudson, of Georgia's Griffin Police Department, recently ran into a house  that was on fire to rescue a 3-year-old boy trapped inside. The breathtaking episode was captured on Hudson's body camera, giving people a first-person look at what happened.

Hudson did indeed find the boy, Ray Ray, after a minute of frantic searching. He then brought him as firefighters arrived on the scene.

Hudson, who's been on the force for 14 years, says he's happy to have helped. "That makes it all worth it, doing this job when you have something like this happen," he said. "There is so much negativity out here it felt good that day. I felt good when I went home."
