‘OCD’ Love Poem Shakes the Internet to Its Core

Subscribe to TheFW on

Many poems have been written about love, but few have unified the internet quite like this one.

Neil Hilborn’s poem, ‘OCD,’ about a lost love he yearns to get back while dealing with his condition, has touched a nerve thanks to its raw emotion and his intense reading of the piece at the Rustbelt Regional Poetry Slam in Wisconsin.

Hilborn says he wrote ‘OCD’ about two years ago and the woman he wrote it about has heard it. They got back together several times before he finally decided to end things for good.

But at least he got some amazing material out of it.
