Two staples of every red-blooded American kid's childhood are Ohio Art's iconic Etch A Sketch and the original Nintendo Entertainment System. Now, they have become one awesome toy we wish we had as kids.

A crafty inventor hooked up a NES D-pad controller to a pair of motorized knobs attached to an Etch A Sketch. Thanks to some ingenious electrical engineering and programming that we couldn't begin to understand, he was able to use the D-pad to control the direction of the cursor in the Etch A Sketch.

The end result allows him to create drawings using the iconic NES controller that we wasted countless hours playing 'Zelda' with. Who knew we could have been creating awesome works of art?
