‘Most Interesting Jam in The World’ Sells for $1,000 [PHOTO]
Advertising mascot and internet meme "The Most Interesting Man in the World" has expanded his kingdom of fascination to include his own signature jam-- and it's all to help the endangered northern hairy nosed wombat.
Dos Equis recently ran a promotion in which visitors to their Facebook page got to decide what ingredients their ubiquitous spokesperson would put in his 'Most Interesting Jam in The World.' Gold dust, grasshoppers in Thai herbs (yum) and Cuban oregano were selected to go along with the condiment's base of apples, sugar and apple cider vinegar.
Next the concoction was auctioned off on eBay, raising $1025 for the Wombat Foundation, which works to save the hairy nosed wombat in Australia.
The Most Interesting Man in the World explained his interest in the wombat during an interview with Scientific American:
I once saved a life in the Australian outback aided by only a wombat and a didgeridoo," the beer pitchman explained. "Since that day I have personally felt a great debt to the wombat for its ingenuity, valor and burrowing capabilities."
And that's why he is 'The Most Interesting Man in the World' and you're not. Watch a compilation of "The Most Interesting Man in the World" ads below.
