MMA Fighters Foil Armed Robbery Attempt [VIDEO]

An armed gunman certainly picked the wrong Los Angeles-area hotel to rob. Luis Rosales had just gotten the clerk at the Comfort Inn to empty the safe when two man walked into the lobby.

Oregon-based mixed martial artists Brent Alvarez and Billy Denney were in Los Angeles to compete in the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation no-gi world championship. When they saw Rosales trying to escape with the loot, they used their skills to disarm the thief and hold him until police arrived.

As for the tournament, Denney took third in his class and Alvarez finished one and one.
