No one is quite sure how four-year-old Jack Russell terrier Petie made it from his home in Tennessee all the way to Michigan 600 miles away. But, thanks to an implanted microchip, the Michigan Human Society was able to locate the pooch and return him to his owner. That's one well-traveled pup!

Petie mysteriously went missing on July 28th. The dog's owner, 73-year-old Jim Arrighi, speculates he may have been dog-napped.

Whatever the reason for Petie's unexplained disappearance, he's home now thanks to humane society workers who drove for 11 hours to return him to his owner. Watch Petie's "incredible journey" below.
