Then: Patinkin dueted with Madonna on the movie’s Stephen Sondheim-penned songs as piano player 88 Keys.  He got his start as a singer and stage performer, but memorable roles in ‘Yentl’ and as the swordsman Inigo Montoya in ‘The Princess Bride’ made him into a big screen presence.

Now: Patinkin is Saul Berenson on the Showtime series ‘Homeland.’ It’s his most high-profile role since starring as Dr. Jeffrey Geiger on the long running doctor drama ‘Chicago Hope.’
