Man Steals Phone From Ebola Patient, Promptly Gets Ebola

This is a classic case of a dude who really wanted a phone. You'd have to to break through hospital security, go into the isolation ward and snatch it from somebody with the Ebola virus. Unfortunately, as you could have probably guessed -- you can't just be messing around with an Ebola patient's stuff, that's a guaranteed ticket to Ebolatown, which is exactly what happened to one cell phone thief in Uganda.

Police looked for the thief for two weeks and were closing in on him when he revealed himself... by checking in to the hospital with symptoms of Ebola. The phone that he stole was worth about $24, and the man he stole it from passed away not long after it was taken from his possession.

We would say that stealing from a sick and dying person deserves some kind of special punishment, but we think contracting Ebola is probably punishment enough.
