Real or fake? You decide.

This video features a woman in South Africa who appears to have killed a lion getting set to pose with the deceased animal for a picture. She's enjoying some laughs with another man, who may be a guide. Everything is going swimmingly until the man goes to check the camera and another lion shows up on the scene and attacks them, with everything from that moment on taking place off camera, including shouting and a gunshot that leaves you to wonder what exactly happened.

It's terrifying. It's shocking. It's...debatable if it's real. The YouTube description says, "I managed to get my hands on this video when I was in South Africa a couple of months ago, a hunter showed me and thought it was hilarious. For me this video highlights a distressing situation that the world needs to see." However, it sure sounds like the parties are acting, the lion zooms like a cheetah and no one had ever heard a whisper about this story until now, which seems unlikely.

The video purports to call attention to the inhumanity of killing animals for sport, an issue that was thrown into the white-hot spotlight last summer with the death of Cecil the lion.

What do you think? Is this real or do you think the whole thing was staged?
