If there's anyone who can make a serious subject hilarious, it's famed comedian Kevin Nealon. In order to promote NKLA, an organization dedicated to "ending the killing of healthy and treatable pets in LA," the 'Weeds' star took to YouTube in his own unique way.

The video beings comedically, showing just how many causes there are in the world... some more hysterical than others. That is, until he gets to the one he truly cares about.

So why this cause? Well let's see:

Last year, over 17,000 healthy or treatable pets were killed in Los Angeles. NKLA aims to reduce that to zero. How so? By spaying and neutering pets in order to prevent animals from entering shelters in the first place, then by encouraging adoption and fostering to rescue pets currently housed in shelters.

There has been a flood of support in Los Angeles for NKLA. And of course, celebrity support is included. The likes of Alyssa Milano, Autumn Reeser and 'True Blood's' Kristin Bauer van Straten have all signed on. And trust us, that list continues.

At NKLA.org, you can adopt a pet or donate money to keep a pet fed.

Come one, who doesn't love animals? Maybe it's time we started fixing the problem! Hey, Kevin Nealon does it, so it must be a good thing, no?
