Justin Bieber Makes Dream of Six-Year Old Cancer Patient Come True

Justin Bieber knows he’d be nothing without his fans. So when the pop sensation heard that Avalanna Routh, a six-year old fighting a rare form of childhood brain cancer, dreamed of meeting him, he flew the little girl and her family to New York for a heartwarming meeting.

Routh suffers from AT/RT, of which there are only 30 new cases a year. The aggressive cancer has no treatment and no cure. Last year, at a Jimmy Fund event, Avalanna had a pretend wedding to Bieber. But what she really wanted was to get to spend time with the pop star himself.

After Fox 25 Boston did a feature on Avalanna on Thursday, a station staff member who happened to know Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun forwarded him the story. Braun immediately contacted Avalanna’s mother, and three days later the entire family was hanging out with Bieber in New York.

As you can see from the photos, Bieber gave the little girl the thrill of her life. Those of us who aren’t in Bieber’s target demographic often mock the singer. But stories like this leave no doubt that the Canadian crooner is one good egg. Watch a video of Bieber with his young fan below.
