When 17-year old Jonathan Antoine walked on to the stage of 'Britain's Got Talent' along with his singing partner, 16-year old Charlotte Jaconelli, Simon Cowell didn't look pleased. "Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse," the curmudgeonly judge muttered.

Clearly Simon was making reference to Jonathan's physical appearance. With his long hair and black t-shirt, the teen looked like a heavy metal groupie -- not somebody who was about to sing opera. But then Jonathan opened his mouth, and it was Susan Boyle all over again.

The song the duo sang was Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli’s 'The Prayer.' And from the first note out of Jonathan, you knew they were moving on.

"That’s unbelievable," Simon gushed when their performance ended. "Jonathan you are a future star.”

But there was a twist. Simon speculated that Charlotte -- whose voice is good but not spectacular like Jonathan's -- would ultimately hold him back, and told Jonathan that he should think about dumping her.

Jonathan immediately responded that he would stick with his good friend. Which isn't surprising, since we had already learned that besides being his singing partner, Charlotte helps Jonathan with his confidence and protects him from bullies at school.

Nevertheless, expect Cowell to continue to badger Jonathan to drop Charlotte if the pair keeps moving on. So what do you think? Should Jonathan stick with his friend? Or is his talent just too big to be part of a duo?
