Jimmy Kimmel knows all too well that if you send celebrities messages on Twitter, they might actually read them. So, as part of the celebration 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' had for the microblogging service's sixth anniversary, the late-night TV host had Joel McHale, Anna Faris, Kristen Bell and other stars read what Kimmel finds is the best part about Twitter -- angry celeb tweets.

This video may be a bit NSFW, due some Twitter users really taking their aggressions out on their bold-faced targets.

"David Cross is not my kind of comedian," David Cross read, as REM's maudlin 'Everybody Hurts' played in the background. While Cross was sad to recite that criticism, he actually got off quite easy, as stars like Will Ferrell, Kathy Griffin and Andy Dick were hit with much more descriptive insults, often containing unprintable words.

Celebrities can be so thin-skinned sometimes.

But our favorite nasty tweet was directed at Anna Faris. "If you change the 'i' in Anna Farris' last name to a 't' you get 'Anna Farts.'"

Yup, somebody actually wrote that, and Anna Faris actually read it. Happy sixth anniversary Twitter!
