Images of Animals Turning to Dust Will Make You Want to Save the Environment

What if some of the most majestic animals just suddenly disintegrated into dust? A series of ads called Desertification for the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) depicts exactly that.

The purpose was to address the degradation of drylands, which reportedly affects over 6,000 species a year.

These haunting images show the endangered animals inhabiting these environments slowly crumbling into heaps of dust. As incredibly detailed these images are, they are just as unnerving when imagining a world without elephants, leopards or parrots.
