While lots of people have tried online dating, a new infographic from dating site AreYouInterested.com and SNAP Interactive offers some interesting insights on an even newer trend: mobile dating. Turns out more and more singles are using their smart phones to find love. Who knew?

In fact, according to the data gathered from more than 50,000 people surveyed, 4 out of 5 people now prefer mobile dating sites and apps to online dating websites. (The fifth person just might be friends with that dentist who doesn't recommend sugarless gum to his gum-chewing patients.)

The survey also found that users of AreYouInterested.com alone view more than 20 dating profiles a day and -- as mind-boggling as this may sound -- average at least three daily "dating sessions" as well.

But since it's also mentioned that 61 percent of people are more likely to, um, "hook up" using mobile dating sites than their regular web counterparts, the definition of a "dating session" is probably pretty open to interpretation.

Take a look at the infographic with the survey results below, and see the full-sized version on the SNAP Interactive blog.
