Yes, The Dog Olympics Are Real (And Totally Wooftastic)

The competition was dog eat dog at this gathering of pooches.

Boston played host to the 18th annual Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge over the weekend with man’s best friend competing in a wide array of contests, including pole racing, obstacle courses, hurdles and diving, which is considered the marquis event. Dogs of all sizes and all breeds made up the (wildly adorable) field.

This weekend’s festivities officially served as the Eastern regionals, with the Western field decided in May.

The pooches who won their categories march on to the national finals, slated to take place September in St. Louis, at which point east will meet west in a battle of brawn, with a dash of cuteness thrown in for good measure.
