Charla Nash, the Connecticut woman who was horribly mauled by a chimp in 2009, gave her first post-operative interview to Sky News after receiving a groundbreaking face transplant.

The 20-hour transplant took place in May and addressed horrible wounds that Nash received from the berserk chimp. As a result of the attack, Nash's hands and portions of her face, including her nose and eyelids, were torn off. An attempt at a hand transplant failed, unfortunately.

Still, Nash seems remarkably upbeat about her new face, cheerfully noting that several people have even remarked how beautiful she is.

Further detail from Nash's interview can be found here.
