Chevy has decided to enter the Gen Y market of reasonably-priced wheels that just seem like a whole lot of fun to drive. Their breakout vehicle? The Chevy Sonic. Their recent 2012 Super Bowl commercial showed the Sonic doing all kinds of sweet non-car stunts. But it was the catchy song that also had people buzzing. So what is the song?

The song is ‘We Are Young’ by Fun., a skinny jeans-clad indie pop group lead by former Format front man Nate Ruess. The song is from their album ‘Some Nights,' out February 21st, and features R&B favorite Janelle Monae, who Fun. toured with on the Campus Consciousness Tour.

Ruess formed Fun. with a couple of friends after moving to New York upon the breakup of The Format and released the group’s first album in 2009. ‘Some Nights’ is their follow-up, and with the attention given it by the gang at Chevy, it’s bound to hit the ground running. However, this isn’t the first time ‘We Are Young’ has gotten this kind of attention -- it was covered by the cast of ‘Glee’ in December of 2011.

Also, recognize the guy kick-flipping the Sonic in the spot? That’s skate boarder, stunt king and TV show host Rob Dyrdek. See the commercial, Fun.’s rather messy video and the ‘Glee’ performance below.
