Newlyweds Brittany Lurch and Arthur Phillips wanted a nice spread for their wedding reception last Friday. So the pair, who had actually been married a few days earlier, went to their local Wegmans supermarket, filled their shopping carts up with over $1,000 of  "stuff that someone might need for a wedding reception," and then decided they were going to turn the groceries into a wedding gift by walking out without paying.

The crazy kids may have even gotten away with their initial theft if they hadn't gone back to the Wegmans in an attempt to further upgrade their celebration.

By this time, the cops had been notified, and Lurch and Phillips were arrested and charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.

They were taken to the Center County, Pennsylvania  jail, which presumably doesn't have a honeymoon suite.
