Not even war can stop children from trying to have fun.

This video features a boy in Aleppo, Syria -- a city devastated by war -- playing Pokemon Go. It's certainly an odd juxtaposition -- the contrast of a child playing a game that has captured the imagination of millions around the globe against a pile of rubble caused by a bloody war that continues to crush a nation is amazing, to say the least, and proves that kids just want to be kids, whether they're in the U.S. or in a region of the world where bombs falling are almost as much a part of the landscape as the rising sun.

It's the latest moving image of what is going in Aleppo, calling attention to the plight of people there, regardless of what side they're on. Earlier this week, the world looked in horror and disbelief as a five-year-old boy was carried to safety in the back of ambulance after a bombing destroyed the apartment where he lived with his parents.
