In 1986, David Lynch released his surreal mystery film 'Blue Velvet,' reuniting him with his 'Dune' star Kyle MacLachlan. The film follows a college student who finds a human ear in a field and proceeds to launch an investigation that leads him into the dark criminal underworld, lorded over by Frank Booth (the dearly departed Dennis Hopper). We take a look back at the film, which earned Lynch his second Academy Award nomination for directing, to see what the cast is up to now.

Now: Rossellini had a romantic relationship with Lynch for a period of time, and also appeared in his film 'Wild at Heart.' She's also known for roles in 'Death Becomes Her' and 'Roger Dodger.'
