Deceased Baby Wakes Up at His Own Funeral

A funeral for a toddler in Brazil over the weekend took a macabre turn when the deceased boy reportedly woke up and asked his father for a drink of water. Yes, zombie babies are now a reality.

Two-year-old Kelvin Santos stopped breathing while being treated for pneumonia at a hospital on June 1st and was declared dead the same day. He was later laid out in a open casket for a wake, but allegedly woke up an hour before he was to be buried. Witnesses say the boy sat up in his coffin and asked his father for water.

"Everybody started to scream," said the boy's father. "We couldn't believe our eyes. Then we thought a miracle had taken place and our boy had come back to life."

Sadly, the miracle didn't last. The little boy then laid back down and didn't wake again. He was rushed back to the hospital for an examination, where doctors pronounced him dead a second time.

An official police investigation has been launched to investigate the matter and the boy's father has vowed to get to the bottom of what happened. "Dead people don't just wake up and talk," he said. "I'm determined to find out the truth."
