If there's one Hollywood cliche you can count on, it's that most actors are frustrated musicians deep down inside. While the majority will never have major commercial success like, say, Rick Springfield, Patrick Swayze or Jamie Foxx (go ahead and laugh, but they all had number one singles), many gamely pursue a side career in music for years without being noticed by anyone but their most hardcore fans.
American movies are big business overseas, but occasionally they require a little tweaking -- overdubs, subtitles, etc. -- to make them more suitable for foreign markets. Sometimes they even undergo a name change with hilarious (and head scratching) results.
Now that winter is finally behind us, we can soon expect the Boys of Summer to take the field in America's favorite pastime. But for every powerhouse baseball player like Alex Rodriguez, Albert Pujols, Johan Santana or Roy Halladay, there are others who aren't nearly as successful. This strict division between all-stars and scrubs is represented nowhere better than in movies.
We couldn't wait to leave our teen years behind, but these movie and TV actors played kids when they were in their 20s and even older. Some of them had no problem slipping into a role several years their junior, but others were -- how can we put this? -- less convincing.

We've all experienced it -- as soon as you get hooked on a great show that ISN'T a procedural crime drama or hackneyed sitcom, it suddenly gets canceled by the network, leaving a TV-shaped hole in your heart. Even hardcore movie fans have to admit that spin-offs generally aren't a good idea. Sometimes, they come too close to or even surpass the original in terms of quality (see 'Get Him to the Greek' or 'Machete,' for example), but these are rare indeed.
Now that J.J. Abrams has signed on to direct 'Star Wars: Episode VII,' we've got high hopes he can restore the classic sci-fi series to glory after the disappointing prequels. But what about the future of 'Star Wars' gaming? Any true fan knows that video games based on the franchise have been spotty to say the least.
