The Final Image is a Tumblr-based photo blog dedicated to the final frames of great movies. Whether a film ends with a cliffhanger, twist, or satisfying conclusion, the finale of a film needs to make an impression on the audience and this blog is a shrine to those last moments before the credits roll. See 15 of our favorites below -- and even more
Roving reporter Chris Unitt must have nerves of steel to be able to lay still while this Cirque Éloize entertainer performs his nail-biter of a bicycle stunt for the camera. The cyclist performs similar feats in the acclaimed show 'iD,' which resumes its US tour in late July.
While adjusting to some technical difficulties during a segment from Kabul, France 2 reporter Pierre Babet saw an opportunity to take a cat nap while the issues were remedied. Hilariously, the sound is fixed and as the screen cuts back to Babet, where he is shown fast asleep during the live broadcast.
The Lonely Island crew continue to push the limits of the gangster rap parody genre (there were limits, right?) with the video for 'We'll Kill U' from their new album 'Turtleneck and Chain'. The monotone, nameless characters from the skits 'Just 2 Guyz' and 'We Like Sportz' are back, and this time they have guns and ankle socks.
True to their hardcore nature, Guy No. 1 (Akiva Schaffer) and Guy No. 2 (Jorma Taccone) remind us that "there ain't no such thing as halfway crooks." Maybe that's why Steve (Andy Samberg) is rejected from joining the posse.
Cracker Jack is no longer the only thing at the baseball concession stand with a prize inside. This lucky Red Sox fan happened to have his beer in the right place at the right time when a foul ball took a one hop off the Fenway Park grandstand and landed in his cup. Well played!
An extreme shark encounter was inadvertently caught on tape by Orlando Sentinel photographer Jacob Langston while he was filming a group of surfers at New Smyrna Beach, Florida. A four-foot spinner shark suddenly emerged from the water and did a barrel roll over an unsuspecting person. Totally gnarly, bro!
During a recent live interview with alt-rock group Dinosaur Jr., an audience member threw a pair of shoes at the night's moderator, Henry Rollins. Rollins, a former Black Flag frontman and charming multihyphenate (he counts actor, musician, writer and spoken-word performance artist among his many callings), defused the situation with his sharp wit: "Nice aim," Rollins says cooly, "but they're not my size."
He also offered to return the shoes after the show, but we're betting the heckler was bounced before Dinosaur Jr.'s set began.
Who needs those boring fishing trips where you spend all day waiting for a bite in the blistering heat? In this creek, Asian carp are so densely populated that they literally jump right out of the water and into this family's boat. It's sorta terrifying but it definitely takes the hard work out of fishing.
The NFL lockout has left many players with a lot of free time on their hands. Peyton and Eli Manning are making the best of their time off by starring in 'Football Cops,' a DirecTV ad spoofing buddy cop shows.
Trick shot videos are popping up all over the internet these days and Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash makes a pretty unbelievable one that combines both his basketball and soccer skills (he was a footie star as a youth, FYI) in this ad for Chinese athletic apparel company Lu You. This definitely isn't a guy you'd want to play in H-O-R-S-E.
Now the question is, did he make it in one take?
