Artists Recreate Their Childhood Drawings [IMAGES]

Great artists don’t start out as great. At one point, they were small children who drew over everything and were encouraged to keep exercising their creativity. Eventually, as they grew up and their talent continued to be nurtured, they found their voices and become truly exceptional creative people.

As a means of revisiting their childhood beginnings, Christina Conway curated 20 emerging artists to go back and recreate their childhood doodles. Using their acquired talents, they elevated their own drawings into legitimate works of art.

The show is currently up at San Diego’s Subtext Gallery through December 11th. Check out some fantastic recreations of childhood drawings below.
