We won't pretend to always "get" art. When we look at a Jackson Pollock, we remember the masterworks we created with fingerpaint in the 4th grade. But this is a drip painting we can get behind.

Toronto-based artist Amy Shackleton creates her works of art completely without the use of brushes. The piece starts off looking like a mess, but an artist sees what she sees, and from formlessness soon emerges a beautiful urban landscape. This one is called 'Terraced City.'

Through the magic of time-lapse video, you can watch Shackleton paint the entire thing in under three minutes. It's far more interesting than watching paint dry.
